Graduated with first class honors in furniture and three dimensional design in England, where he was awarded the Radford Design Award and a travelling scholarship. Furniture and textiles were exhibited at the Design Centre London

Practical experience in London was gained in high quality retail design, financial and general business interiors. As head of Interior Design for an architectural, engineering and interior design office in Hong Kong, he was responsible for corporate identity, design, project administration and multiple site implementation in a wide variety of projects for multi-national corporations

In 1983, he founded Goudie Associates and is now primarily involved in conceptual design, programming and space planning while retaining overall responsibility for the performance of the company as Regional Managing Director.

He has been elected a Life Fellow of the UK based Chartered Society of Designers

His major involvement has been in the corporate sector including Cathay Pacific, Regus, Leo Burnett, Salomon Smith Barney, Paribas (global corporate interior standards), JPMorgan and Credit Lyonnais
